Britain character awes Gareth Southgate after Scotland draw

Supervisor Gareth Southgate applauded England's "character to return" and secure a 2-2 attract their World Cup qualifier against Scotland at Hampden.

Britain drove 1-0 with three minutes left, yet required a damage time equalizer from Harry Kane after Leigh Griffiths practically secured a Scottish win with two late free-kicks.

Southgate disclosed to BBC Radio 5 live: "I've seen groups overlap in those minutes.

"We demonstrated the mindset move we required."

He included: "I was satisfied with how we managed a troublesome climate."
